- The VSR 200 is a voltage-dependent isolating relay
- It is used to automatically connect two battery groups (e.g. starter / consumer battery or starter / front battery) in charging mode
- measures the voltage of both battery groups at the connection bolts and switches them together as soon as the voltage on one of the two battery groups is above the switch-on threshold
- If the charging device (alternator, chargers, wind / solar) no longer supplies energy, the voltage drops and the relay automatically disconnects the two battery groups as soon as the switch-off threshold is exceeded
- Battery banks can be disconnected during the starting process
- In an emergency, the VSR 200 can establish a connection between the battery groups by manually operating the relay or using an optional control button in order to start the engine from both batteries
